You can customise the default zoom level used by the Google Chrome browser. This way, text and images will always appear larger whenever you use the browser. To do so:
- Select the Menu button in the top-right of the Chrome web browser.
- Select Settings from the menu.
- The Google Chrome settings page will now appear.
- In the search box at the top of the settings page, type “page zoom”.
- On the search results page, select the drop-down menu for Page zoom and choose a new default zoom level.
You can specify default font sizes so that text is always larger whenever you use the Google Chrome browser. Note: Some websites don’t allow you to change the font size so these settings may not work on every website you visit.
- Select the Menu button in the top-right of the Chrome web browser.
- Select Settings from the menu.
- The Google Chrome settings page will now appear.
- In the search box at the top of the settings page, type “font size”.
- Under the Appearance options, select the drop-down menu for Font size and choose a new setting.
- If you’d like to make further font size adjustments, select Customise fonts.
- On the Customise fonts page you can change:
- Font size – this is the base size used by websites that specify font sizes as percentages.
- Minimum font size – make all text appear at least this size.
Note: If this does not work it could be because someone else manages your computer settings (an IT department or administrator). If this is the case, you will need to contact them to access these settings or for further help.
