How to simplify the user interface in Android 16

Short guide:

  1. Open the Settings  and select Accessibility
  2. Scroll down to the Quick access section and tap Simple View
  3. Tap the toggle switch for Use Simple View to turn it on

This section explains how to enable the Simple View feature in Android 16. This is a step-by-step guide with pictures of the screens to help.

Open the Accessibility settings

1. Open the Settings  and select Accessibility.

Find Simple View

2. Scroll down to the Quick access section and tap Simple View.

Tap Simple View

Enable Simple View

3. Tap the toggle switch for Use Simple View to turn it on.

4. If you want to turn off Simple View later, return here and tap the toggle switch to turn it off. Android will want you that your device will return to its previous settings. Tap Cancel to stick with Simple View or tap Proceed to go back to the standard Android interface.

Note: We have written these instructions for devices running the standard version of the Android operating system. You may find some minor presentation differences if the manufacturer has customised the theme.
