This section gives you step by step instructions on how to use Hot Corners with the Accessibility Keyboard in macOS 13 Ventura, with pictures of the screens to help.

Open the Accessibility Keyboard settings

1. Click the Panel Options (more) button in the top-right corner of the Accessibility Keyboard, then select Settings.

Find the Hot Corners settings

2. On the Settings screen, scoll up to the Hot Corners section.

Choose actions for each corner

3. Select the drop-down menu for each corner and choose from an action from:

  • (don’t use this corner)
  • Hide/Show Home Panel (the Accessibility Keyboard)
  • Toggle Dwell Pause
  • Left Click
  • Right Click
  • Double Click
  • Drag and Drop
  • Scroll menu
  • Options Menu

Move the accessibility Keyboard to a corner

4. If you have chosen Hide/Show Home Panel for one of the corners, the Accessibility Keyboard will move to that corner when it is used to show the keyboard. If you don’t want the keyboard to move, turn off the toggle switch for Panel Follows Hide/Show Home Panel.

Close System Settings

5. When you are happy with your settings, select the Done button in the bottom right. Close System Settings by clicking the Close button (red circle) in the top-left corner of the window or using the Cmd + W keyboard shortcut.

Using Hot Corners

6. To use Hot Corners, rest the pointer on the corner of the screen that corresponds to the action you wish to use. A white, triangular outline will appear and start to turn grey. This acts as a countdown – the action is only selected when the triangle turns completely grey.

Note: If this does not work it could be because your computer settings are managed by someone else (an IT department or administrator for example). If so, you will need to contact them to access these settings or for help.
