How to use audio descriptions in iOS 10 for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch

You can set your device to always play these ‘Audio Description’ tracks by default, if they are available in a video file.

  1. Tap the ‘Settings’ icon on your home screen. Fig 1.

  2. Tap on ‘General’. Fig 2.

  3. Tap on ‘Accessibility’. Fig 3.

  4. Under the ‘Media’ section, tap on ‘Audio Descriptions’. Fig 4.

  5. Tap the toggle switch next to ‘Prefer Audio Descriptions’. Fig 5.

  6. When you are happy with your settings, either tap the back button in the top left of the screen to return to the main ‘Accessibility’ settings screen or press your device’s ‘Home’ button to return to the home screen.
