How to enable Magnification

  1. To access the Accessibility features on your Android device open the Settings app .
  2. In the Settings app, select Accessibility from the list.
  3. On the Accessibility screen, scroll down to the Display section and select Magnification.
  4. On the Magnification screen, set the toggle switch for Magnification shortcut to OnNote: You will receive a pop-up notification explaining how to use the Accessibility button. Select OK to continue.
  5. When you turn Magnification on, the accessibility shortcut button  will appear in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. 
  6. When you are happy with your settings, you can return to the home screen page of apps by:
    • If you use gestures to navigate your device, swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen.
    • If you use the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen to navigate your device, select the Home button.

How to use Magnification

To zoom in

  • Select the accessibility shortcut button  in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
  • Tap the screen. The screen will immediately zoom in.
  • Drag two fingers to move around the screen.
  • Pinch with two fingers to adjust zoom.
  • To stop magnification, select the accessibility button again.

To zoom in temporarily

  • Select the accessibility shortcut button  in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen .
  • Touch and hold anywhere on the screen.
  • Drag your finger to move around the screen.
  • Lift your finger to stop magnification.

Note: We have written these instructions for devices running the standard version of the Android operating system. You may find some minor presentation differences if the manufacturer has customised the theme.
