Another way of increasing the size of the text on your computer is by changing the screen resolution. When you change the screen resolution, the text and all other items on your computer screen get bigger. See our article How to make the text larger on your Apple Mac computer by changing the screen resolution in macOS 26 Tahoe for more information.

This section explains how to adjust the Text Size setting in macOS 26 Tahoe. This is a step-by-step guide with pictures of the screens to help.
1. Click the Apple icon
in the top left corner of the screen and choose System Settings from the menu.

2. In the System Settings window, click Accessibility in the sidebar.

3. On the Accessibility page, click Display in the list of Accessibility items on the right.

4. On the Display page, click Text size.

5. To change the text size for all supported apps, adjust the text size slider at the top of the pop-up window.

6. To change the text size for a particular app, click the drop-down menu to the right of the app's name.

7. Next, choose your preferred text size for this app from the available options.

8. When you are happy with your Text Size settings, click the Done button.

9. Close System Settings by clicking the Close button (red circle) in the top-left corner of the window or using the Cmd + W keyboard shortcut.

Note: If these instructions do not work, it could be because your computer settings are managed by someone else (an IT department or administrator for example). If so, you will need to contact them to access these settings or for help.
