How to enable the text cursor indicator
How to make the text cursor thicker
- Open the Ease of Access Settings by pressing the Windows logo key
+ U on the keyboard. Alternatively, select the Start Menu > Settings > Ease of Access.
- On the Ease of Access settings screen, select Text cursor in the left column.

- On the right side of the screen (see image above), set the toggle switch labelled Turn on text cursor indicator to On.
- To resize of the indicator, adjust the slider labelled āChange text cursor indicator sizeā. The changes you make will be reflected in the text preview box shown above the slider.

- To change the colour of the indictor, choose from a set of suggested colours or pick a custom colour. The colour changes you make will be reflected in the āChange text cursor indicator sizeā preview text and slider.

- Open the Ease of Access Settings by pressing the Windows logo key
+ U on the keyboard. Alternatively, select the Start Menu, then Settings, then Ease of Access.
- On the Ease of Access settings screen, select Text cursor in the left column.

- On the right side of the screen (see image above), scroll down to the Change the text cursor appearance section. Adjust the slider labelled āChange text cursor thicknessā. The thickness of the cursor is shown in the preview box to the left of the slider.
Note: If this does not work it could be because someone else manages your computer settings (an IT department or administrator). If this is the case, you will need to contact them to access these settings or for further help.
