How to add trails to the mouse pointer in macOS 12 Monterey

How to add trails to the mouse pointer in macOS 12 Monterey

Short guide:

  1. macOS doesn’t offer the ability to add trails to the mouse pointer but does offer other ways to make the mouse easier to see and find.
  2. To locate the pointer, quickly move the mouse from side to side. This will temporarily make the pointer larger.
  3. To make the pointer larger permanently, choose the Apple menu > System Preferences > Accessibility > Display > Pointer > Pointer Size
  4. To change the colour of the pointer, choose the Apple menu > System Preferences > Accessibility > Display > Pointer > Pointer outline colour and Pointer fill colour.
  5. Search the App Store app for "mouse pointer", or similar, to find third-party options.
